We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to lead, direct, and manage the accounting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and numerical skills to contribute effectively to our organization’s financial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Accounting Function (AP, AR, General Ledger)
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders (suppliers, banks, auditors) and internal teams (senior management, department heads).
- Ensure accurate and efficient accounting of all financial transactions.
- Review account balances and reconciliations periodically.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets register timely.
- Establish and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on new accounting and reporting standards, proposing adoption when suitable.
- Support the implementation of policies aligned with International Financial Reporting Standards, VAT laws, and Risk Management frameworks.
4. Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and internal/external reports.
- Manage monthly and ad-hoc financial reporting for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with auditors for external audits and financial statements review.
- Design and update internal reports (MIS, Business Review Meetings) for enhanced data reporting.
5. Cost Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare and review project cost reports for Latvia.
- Oversee review and approval of variation orders.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, including statistical reporting.
6. Team Management
- Build and manage the finance team, ensuring high morale and productivity.
- Conduct annual and mid-term performance evaluations.
- Identify and address training needs for team development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- 10-12 years of experience in finance, preferably in real estate development or construction.
- 5 years of managerial experience.
- Proven financial and business acumen, with experience leading complex financial portfolios.
- Exposure to investment, real estate, and emerging sectors is an advantage.
