Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.
Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We’re still ambitious and independent, but now we’re a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.

Job Description
- Oversee the end-to-end process of fabric purchasing, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure fabrics based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Manage the creation, updating, and monitoring of Bill of Materials (BOM) within NetSuite.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to align fabric specifications with product requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstock or shortages and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Generate regular reports on purchasing activities and BOM accuracy for management review.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies in purchasing orders or BOM entries.
- Provide ongoing process improvements to optimize fabric procurement and BOM management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
- Prior experience in fabric purchasing or supply chain (1-2 years preferred).
- Familiarity with BOM management in a production environment will be preferable
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Languages: Proficient in English
