Role Overview
The Product Manager (BPS) will play a key role in driving data product development, forming strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful market positioning of BPS data solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial and fintech industries, regulatory landscape, and client needs to create innovative data products that support risk control and anti-fraud measures.
Responsibilities
The Data Product Manager will be responsible for leading data product development, managing partnerships with local data vendors, and serving as the product PIC in the market for the BPS entity. The main responsibilities include:
- Understanding the financial and fintech industry, including regulations and client demands for data products.
- Gaining knowledge of local data vendors, including government sources (e.g., credit bureaus) and private vendors (e.g., telecom providers, utility providers).
- Designing the product roadmap to meet client demands and maximize revenue.
- Initiating and leading partnership projects with local vendors to develop data-related products, including name list and scoring products, to serve the financial and non-financial industries' risk control and anti-fraud needs.
- Acting as a project manager, ensuring project progress, and collaborating with internal and external teams, including the product, engineering, and sales teams.
- Serving as the product PIC and assisting the sales team in promoting data products in the market.
- Understanding the risk modeling process and performance measuring metrics, ensuring seamless communication with the data science team.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management modeling, risk strategy, or data analysis products.
- Experience in data analysis or modeling in large internet companies or credit/data company product construction is preferred.
- Prior experience in the fintech industry in the Indonesian market is a plus.
- Strong project management experience is an advantage.
- Excellent logical thinking, strong curiosity, and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in oral and written English is a must; Bahasa proficiency is preferred.
