Job Description

Responsible for the cellphone assembly production line process at manufacture. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including global engineer team, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth and efficient product launches. The engineer will optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot technical issues, drive corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand product specifications and assembly process requirements to transfer to factory team.
  • Drive NPI assembly process activities during new cellphone model introduction.
  • Transfer assembly tooling list, information and specification.
  • Interface between global process engineer team and factory process team.
  • Conduct process validation and troubleshooting during mass production and pilot runs.
  • Identify and resolve production-related issues to meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
  • Work with suppliers and production teams to ensure the readiness of equipment, and tooling for new product launches.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Technical Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in electronics or mobile devices.
  • Strong understanding of NPI processes and experience with cellphone assembly process.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Develop cost models and understanding of key cost drivers.
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work across functions and cultures.
  • PFMEA knowledge.
  • Statistical analysis and process control.
  • CAD and simulation software.
  • Cycle time optimization.
  • Layout Design / Capacity control.
