JOB DESCRIPTION

Work closely with the with all Divisional, Segment, Product, and Claims Heads as well at Country President and Head of Global Broking Asia to;

  • Achieve NWP Plan growth through the Broking channel across Consumer and P&C Divisions
  • Ensure quarterly new business target pipelines are in place for the Broking channel in conjunction with Product and Segment leaders.
  • Supporting the Product and Segment leaders to maintain an effective key account renewal strategy, communicating and aligning well in advance with our broking partners, effectively across all lines of business to ensure business renewal and cross-sell opportunities are exhausted.
  • Help develop medium- and long-term broking business initiatives and strategies and be actively involved in the implementation of such business plans and objectives. Track these and ensure support and progress for them.
  • Carry out and manage structured broker review sessions via quarterly business reviews or quarterly strategic meetings. Ensure minutes are recorded, key actions points are identified and communicated LOB Heads. Where possible, Country President and LOB Heads should attend the key broker reviews. Progress on action points to be owned by Head of Broker and tracked and communicated on a quarterly basis.
  • To work closely with all Product leaders to ensure service standards and broker response time expectations are met.
  • Formulate and implement an effective, innovative and market orientated engagement program / calendar for the distribution channel and marketers alike, including training, visitations and events. Overall responsibility for broker visitation tracking where feasible and quality of visitations with actionable insight and feedback loops to relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Marketing to maximize Chubb’s visibility in the market in line with strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report all key financial metrics & trends to measure broker channel KPIs, including monthly actionable insights to guide underwriter activity aligned with product. This should include monthly broker distribution / sales meetings with Product Heads and Country President.
  • Create and work with broker intelligence reports which map key people, business portfolio, Chubb share of wallet and addressable market opportunity for Chubb.
  • Responsible for liaising both internally and externally to resolve any major credit control matters within the Broking Channel or any relationship issues.

Skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills coupled with good analytical and business acumen. Sound knowledge of P&C and Consumer business, both in terms of underwriting and business strategies driving the business.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant professional qualifications or /recognized degree
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and executing distribution strategies effectively.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and trends affecting broker distribution.
  • Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with brokers and key stakeholders.
  • Effective negotiation capabilities to secure favorable terms and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  • At least 7-10 years of managerial experience in an underwriting or broking environment
