We’re Influx, a 11-year-old startup from Melbourne and the #1 on demand CX partner for startups and scaleups. We’re profitable, growing comfortably, and building a global team that’s ready to take us to the next chapter of success.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of our global compensation practices. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of salary research, compensation structures, and third-party compensation tools (e.g., Mercer, Hay Group, Korn Ferry), and will be able to innovate and recommend adjustments to the company’s compensation package, ensuring both employee satisfaction and alignment with our budget and business goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the expert on Influx’s global compensation strategies, policies, and practices, continuously recommending improvements based on market data and business needs.
  2. Conduct regular and on-demand research on compensation trends and best practices, making data-driven recommendations for salary structures and adjustments.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership to review and refresh compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals while maintaining employee satisfaction.
  4. Work closely with the HR and Finance teams to create compensation frameworks that are both competitive and cost-effective across all regions.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global compensation laws and ensure the company’s practices comply with local and international regulations.
  6. Ensure everyone at Influx is paid correctly on each payroll

What we’re looking for

  1. 5+ years of compensation management experience at a global scale, with proven expertise in salary research, pay structures, and cost-benefit analysis.
  2. Data analysis expertise – you should be proficient with spreadsheets and compensation tools to analyze and manage compensation data.
  3. A strategic thinker who can balance the financial realities of the business with the need for equitable and competitive compensation.
  4. A strong ability to think outside the box and propose innovative solutions for compensation that maximize employee engagement and satisfaction while being mindful of cost constraints.
  5. Excellent communication skills, able to handle sensitive topics with empathy and confidence, and communicate complex data in a clear and actionable way (in English).
  6. Experience with compensation management in multiple countries is preferred, though not a strict requirement.

Bonus Point/Preferred:

  1. Experience working with third-party compensation tools such as Mercer, Hay Group, or Korn Ferry to benchmark and optimize pay structures.
  2. Experience in Business Intelligence in the past.

What we offer

  • A 100% work-from-home opportunity: We have been operating remotely for the past 10 years and are proud of our high-performance work environment that supports a life outside of work.
  • Global Footprint: Collaborative culture in servicing international clients, working alongside talented individuals providing high-quality customer experience with your expertise
