Kantorgg (Kantor Gunawan Gunawan) provides Architectural and Interior Design Services for bespoke luxury residences, with a strong foundation in luxury residential design, we are expanding our portfolio to include boutique hotels, resorts, and branded residences across APAC.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Business Development Manager role located in Jakarta. The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing business growth strategies, fostering industry relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and leading the sales team.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a background in hotel development, franchise partnerships, or operator relations to help us secure hospitality projects and grow our presence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop & Strengthen Industry Relationships
o Leverage existing networks within hotel operators, developers, and investors to create project opportunities.
o Connect with owners, asset managers, and hospitality funds looking for top-tier design consultants.
2. Win New Hospitality Projects
o Identify upcoming hotel & resort developments and position our firm for RFPs and direct commissions.
o Partner with hotel operators to recommend our firm to property owners.
3. Strategic Market Expansion
o Develop a growth strategy for entering the hospitality sector, focusing on boutique, luxury, and lifestyle hotels.
o Attend hospitality investment conferences (HICAP, ILTM, AHICE) to represent the firm and build connections.
4. Collaborate with Internal Teams
o Work closely with the design team to align business goals with creative vision.
o Assist in preparing pitch materials, presentations, and proposals for hospitality clients.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Background in Hotel Development & Partnerships
7+ years in business development, feasibility, or investment roles within hotel operators (e.g., Marriott, Accor, Six Senses, Banyan Tree, Capella)
Strong relationships with hotel developers, asset managers, and luxury hospitality investors in APAC
Experience in franchise & operator agreements, project feasibility, and brand expansion is a plus
Connections with property owners, real estate investors, and hospitality funds
Familiarity with hotel RFP & procurement processes for design services
Ability to secure high-value hospitality projects for an expanding design firm
A self-starter who thrives in a growing business and can work directly with leadership.
