Data Loss Prevention L2 Engineer
Job Summary:
The DLP L2 Engineer will provide engineering and operational support for the Data Loss Prevention platform, focusing on Microsoft's DLP solutions. This role involves monitoring, incident resolution, policy management, and collaboration with various teams to maintain a secure data environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· DLP Platform Support: Provide overall engineering and operational support for the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform, ensuring its optimal performance and availability.
· Incident Management: Serve as a Level 2 escalation point for DLP-related incidents, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues promptly.
· Policy Management: Develop, implement, and manage DLP policies to protect sensitive data across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
· Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor DLP systems for alerts and anomalies, generating reports and metrics to assess the effectiveness of DLP controls.
· Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to align DLP strategies with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
· Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of DLP configurations, policies, procedures, and incident response activities.
Qualifications:
· Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
· Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred.
· Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of data protection principles, DLP policies, and incident response procedures.
o Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
· Soft Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on Data Loss Prevention solutions.
o Hands-on experience with Microsoft's DLP technologies, including Microsoft 365 Compliance Center and Azure Information Protection.
o Familiarity with other security tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Cloud App Security.
