Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Therapist & Counselor to join our team. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of traditional therapy and counseling, providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The ideal candidate is committed to using evidence-based practices and innovative treatment methods to help clients achieve lasting positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Assessment & Treatment Planning:
- Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to determine clients’ mental health needs.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Employ a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, and other relevant interventions.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during acute distress situations.
- Documentation & Collaboration:
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in regular case consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Professional Development & Community Engagement:
- Stay current with the latest research and trends in mental health therapy and counseling.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, training, and supervision.
- Educate clients, families, and the community on mental health topics and wellness strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensure & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5 years experience in providing therapy and counseling services.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong ethical foundation and commitment to client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialized certifications or training in areas such as trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, or family therapy.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a broad range of mental health issues.
- Multilingual abilities are an asset.
