We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Video Editor with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking raw video footage and transforming it into polished, engaging videos optimized for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). This includes colour grading, video sequencing, audio mixing, and exporting in various formats.

What You Will Do:

  • Receive and organise raw video footage from various sources.
  • Edit raw footage into compelling and visually appealing videos tailored for specific social media platforms.
  • Perform colour correction and colour grading to enhance the visual quality of the videos.
  • Sequence video clips on a timeline, ensuring smooth transitions and a cohesive narrative.
  • Add text overlays, graphics, and other visual elements as needed.
  • Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the audio quality of the videos.
  • Ensure proper audio mixing and balancing.
  • Export videos in various formats and resolutions optimized for different social media platforms (e.g., MP4, MOV).
  • Maintain a consistent brand aesthetic and style across all video content.
  • Stay up-to-date with current video editing trends and social media best practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage and organise video files and assets.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing software and hardware.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and creative concept development for video projects.
  • Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
  • Follow industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in video editing, preferably with a focus on social media content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (please specify which one you prefer or if both are acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of colour correction and colour grading techniques.
  • Experience with video sequencing, audio mixing, and sound design.
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and resolutions for various social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for visual storytelling.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to communicate in English at actively is required.
  • Ability to take ownership over your work.
  • Willing to work according to Australian time or 6 AM – 3 PM Jakarta Time (9 hours include 1-hour break).
