With the integration of Synarome in 2021, Sozio ties back to its legacy by returning to its initial activity : raw materials. This acquisition enhances Sozio perfumers’ palette of premium ingredients – both synthetic and natural – and iconic specialties such as Ambrarome and Animalis.
With these generations of learning and knowledge, an expertise in natural fragrances and an international presence, Sozio has become a key player in the perfumery landscape.
We recruit a Perfumer
Under the direction of the General Manager , the position requires the ability to effectively develop fragrance formulas for cross-categories markets.
The position is based in our Regional office in Java
Key Responsibilities:
- Fragrance Creation: Develop and create original fragrance formulas, leveraging your creativity and deep understanding of fragrance components to craft scents that align with market trends and customer preferences.
- Fragrance Analysis and matching: develop fragrance formula based on detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of fragrances provided by the Analytical team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our creative teams in France, Indonesia and China contributing to the development of new fragrances and ensuring that our global creative vision is realized in all products.
- Product Development Support: Collaborate with perfumers, product development, and marketing teams to ensure the successful creation and launch of fragrance products. Provide analytical and creative input during the formulation process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fragrance formulations and analyses meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on global regulations and ensure compliance in all fragrance creations..
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all fragrance products on samples sent. Identify and resolve any issues related to fragrance quality or performance.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all fragrance creations and analyses, ensuring accurate and accessible data for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years with similar role, cross category experience preferably.
- Education: A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Perfumery, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fragrance formulation. Experience with chromatographic techniques (GC-MS, HPLC) and other analytical instruments will be a plus.
- Creative Skills: Strong creative abilities in fragrance composition, with a proven track record of developing successful fragrance products.
- Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly with Asian and/or international teams, and the ability to communicate effectively across different cultures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English required; knowledge of French and/or Asian language is a plus.
