What a HR Business Partner/Country HR Does At HP

  • You will lead all aspects of HR for Indonesia
  • You will partner with senior leaders in the country to create and execute on short and long term people strategy that supports business objectives; this will be holistic in nature and tied to HP HR strategy; it will cover all aspects including how we attract, retain, engage, recognize and develop diverse and exceptional talent, now and in the future
  • You’ll work side by side with the leaders and their teams offering guidance on performance issues, navigating changes and organizational planning.
  • Coach a senior leader on how he or she can be most effective in tackling the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges
  • Work with the leaders on the optimal organization structure and design that enables the best business results
  • Create a plan to address engagement of a team, within a job function or at a site
  • Identify top talent team members and work with them on a development plan to continue growing their careers
  • Be part of the Country Leadership Team where you will contribute to shaping the country HR strategy and implement people priorities
  • Determine an appropriate rewards strategy to attract and retain exceptional talent
  • Speak at an industry or in-house event on various aspects of HP’s people strategy
  • Advocate for a new approach or initiative based on external research or insights that addresses a gap or creates an opportunity for HP’s people and/or business
  • Support policy and process enhancement, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and organizational growth.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Working with senior leaders and quickly building their trust, so they see you as a business partner and problem solver
  • Working in high tech in an HR role for at least 5 years that’s because that gives you enough time to have collected a diverse set of experiences, seen the impact of your work and learned some stuff along the way
  • Understanding the local policies, laws and regulations and able to advise the stakeholders
  • Helping people and organizations through significant change and coming out the other side better for it
  • Understanding HR and business theory; a Masters or MBA will be an added advantage
