The Agro Accounting Associate Manager will support the Operations Controller in managing inventory and costing for potato and agro activities in Indonesia. Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure accurate tracking of potato inventory throughout all stages, from import/farm to production (factory).
- Conduct regular reconciliations of physical potato stock against system records to identify discrepancies and resolve any inconsistencies promptly.
- Maintain and update records for all incoming and outgoing shipments, including potato deliveries from suppliers and internal transfers within production facilities.
- Ensure inventory records are in compliance with internal controls and industry standards.
- Calculate and track the complete cost structure of potatoes, including procurement, transportation, handling, and storage expenses.
- Apply appropriate inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, weighted average) in alignment with PepsiCo’s accounting policies and standards.
- Accurately prepare and analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) related to potato usage in production, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of all costs.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports on potato inventory, including stock levels, COGS, and potential financial risks associated with inventory management.
- Provide detailed analysis to management on inventory trends, cost variances, and opportunities for cost control or optimization.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and negotiations with potato suppliers, ensuring that terms are adhered to.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely deliveries, quality standards, and compliance with agreed-upon terms.
- Address and resolve any supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, or discrepancies in quantity.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or cost management, ideally within the agriculture, food production, or FMCG sectors
- Experience in inventory management or financial reporting on potato supply chain is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Ability to apply inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, weighted average) in an agro-based environment.
