Consultant - Social Media Assistant
Project Background
Since 2010, Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) has been implementing the Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship program as part of its national strategy. The program aims to strengthen the economic capabilities of young people (18-35 years old) throughout Indonesia, particularly marginalized young women and people with disabilities. Projects under the YEE program usually contains technical and soft skill training customized to the current market interest, with the target to help participants earn a meaningful employment or create sustainable businesses.
As part of its public engagement strategy, the YEE program has been reaching out to the digital audience through the kitakerja.id social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) since August 2018. These accounts serve as channels to engage with project participants, general audience, project partners and donors. The contents uploaded into these accounts include training updates, event invitations, recruitment opportunities and success stories.
As the YEE program and its audience grows bigger, in 2025, the program and communications team will need help from an external social media assistant to maintain and grow the kitakerja.id’s social media presence, with timely created contents and carefully crafted messages. We are looking for a social media assistant with the following criteria.
The Opportunity
The Social Media Assistant will ensure Plan Indonesia’s YEE initiatives are strategically spread through high-quality IEC (information, education, communications) materials in the kitakerja.id social media accounts.
Accountabilities for the role
- Develop monthly social media plan with feedback from the YEE & communications team.
- Develop daily social media contents for kitakerja.id’s Instagram and Facebook accounts (min.3 posts a week, combination of videos and images).
- Administer the kitakerja.id social media accounts, including but not limited to replying to comments and direct messages, uploading contents (inhouse or outsourced), accepting collaborations and creating captions for externally produced posts.
- Create monthly social media reports for kitakerja.id, capturing the number of reaches, impressions, likes, comments, and followers gained in a month.
- Create social media analysis and trend suggestions based on the social media report.
- Assisting the YEE & communications team to create live contents, including onsite live event reporting (when requested).
- Maintain and report any negative comment and brand risk immediately.
Requirements for the role:
- Fresh graduates or final year students in communications or other social sciences.
- Between 3-4 of experience in administering university, organization or professional social media accounts (intern experience is a plus).
- Excellent skills in creating social media contents, including reels, still posters, and other type of contents as proven by the portfolio submitted.
- Proficiency in using Canva, CapCut, and other tools for creating social media content.
- Owning adequate work equipment.
- Have a good sense of art in graphic design and photography.
- Good work ethic and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to meet a day-to-day deadline with minimal supervision.
- Interest in youth employment and entrepreneurship issues.
- Experience in working for NGO/non-profit sector is preferable.
Location: Based in Jakarta
Type of Role: Professional Service Agreement (Consultant) for contract duration between March 2025 – 31 December 2025
Reports to: Communications Specialist
Salary: IDR 6.000.000 gross /month
