Job Description
Orissa International is looking for a Trade and Research Consultant based in Jakarta to support our clients in understanding the market and expanding their business in the country. This role involves conducting in-depth research, facilitating business connections, and providing strategic insights across multiple industries.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and execute market research and business matching projects across various industrial sectors. The objective is to assist our clients in entering the Indonesian market.
- Conduct interviews and undertake secondary research to develop an understanding of target markets, industries, companies, and business opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations for market entry and business growth.
- Conduct research to identify potential local partners (distributors and buyers) for our clients.
- Reach out to local companies to identify key decision-makers and assess their interest in potential collaborations with our clients.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings between our clients and relevant industry contacts to facilitate business connections.
Requirements
- Degree qualified.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, market research or business matching.
- Good report writing skills and ability to analyze and interpret data in an insightful manner.
- Background in non-consumer sectors such as ICT, water and wastewater, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with foreign companies and local private sector representatives.
- Able to make cold calls.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Able to prioritise, multi-task, work under pressure, and deliver within a tight deadline.
- Strong work ethic.
