As an Equipment Engineer (Associate II, Maintenance and Repair), you will be responsible to optimize and enhance manufacturing processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and workplace safety. This role involves leading equipment improvement initiatives, developing maintenance plans, and collaborating across teams to achieve organizational objectives.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for efficient and economical manufacturing.
  • Optimize the arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and document the sequence of production operations, including fabrication procedures, tool specifications, and equipment adaptations.
  • Conduct tests at all production stages to control variables and troubleshoot/resolve production challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance to product design teams to maximize equipment utilization and enhance manufacturing techniques.
  • Lead equipment improvement projects and establish robust maintenance plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and other regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Degree in Engineering field
  • Strong engineering background with demonstrated experience in equipment engineering or a related manufacturing field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve production challenges.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills to guide teams effectively and achieve outcomes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and workplace safety practices.
