Key Responsibilities

We're seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team in Indonesia. Your role will involve managing container maintenance and ensuring timely arrival of empty containers at the required depots. You'll also be responsible for efficient cost management.

Equipment Maintenance and Repair (EMR):

• Manage EMR daily operations: Oversee and manage the daily activities related to EMR at specific locations, ensuring that potential faults are identified and resolved promptly.
• Cost control and analysis: Implement and maintain cost control measures for the specific location, including analyzing unit costs and identifying areas for cost reduction.
• Monitor and manage suppliers: Monitor EMR suppliers to ensure they meet quality and productivity standards, and set and align individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers.
• Policy and SOP implementation: Follow and ensure the implementation of EMR policies and instructions from the CENEMR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Regularly check compliance with these guidelines.
• Approve estimates: Review and approve estimates within the set limits for the specific location, ensuring that they align with budgetary constraints and operational requirements.
• Audit and system management: Periodically conduct audits on repair shops to control inspection and repair quality. Manage relevant systems to ensure data quality and monitor the implementation of correction plans by EMR suppliers.
  
  

Managing and Optimizing Empty container flow:

• Equipment Flow Strategy: Develop and implement strategies based on import and export flow analysis to optimize empty container flows within the region, aligned with the Global equipment flow strategy.
• Cost-Saving Initiatives: Drive end-to-end cost-saving initiatives related to equipment, including transport and storage costs, and ensure efficient supply/evacuation of equipment on various transport modalities.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Actively engage with multiple stakeholders to optimize working relationships across organizational entities and collaborate closely with EMR to manage vendor performance.
• Stock and Inventory Management: Ensure stock levels align with regional targets, deliver stocks and inventory control at inland locations/ports, and monitor systems for data quality and error clearance.
  
  

We’re looking for

• Around 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair for container / reefer
• Working experience in shipping / liner is highly advantageous
• IICL certification is good to have
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Familiar with Merc + and/or other M&R tools
• Excellent communication in English
