Both of the Foundation's festivals serve as its creative engine, allowing it to pursue dreams of igniting creativity, providing education, and supporting the younger generation.

The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) annually invites great writers, novelists, poets, journalists, public intellectuals, artists, and politicians from Indonesia and around the globe to create an extraordinary four days of literary celebration and engage them through their shared love of books, writing, and ideas.

The Ubud Food Festival (UFF) is the region’s leading culinary festival, celebrating the diversity and taste of Indonesia’s culinary world, tempting thousands of food lovers from all over the world. The festival, featuring over three days, includes special events, cooking demos, food tours, talks, workshops, masterclasses, arts performances, films, and more.

To fulfill its mission, the organization also organizes off-season events such as workshops, retreats, and discussions, along with larger events like the Ubud Artisan Market (UAM) and Bali Berkisah, all aimed to provide platforms for local communities and a broader audience.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for crafting and managing visual materials for our festivals, including posters, social media graphics, and program books. Collaborating with the Head of Marketing & Communications, as well as Digital Marketing Specialist as this role ensures all designs align with our branding and meet deadlines. Responsibilities include creating visuals for digital and print, coordinating with printers, and overseeing production during events.

This role is ideal for creative professionals passionate about design and teamwork in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Communications as well as Digital Marketing Specialist to design all festival promotional materials, including posters, flyers, brochures, postcards, advertisements, social media graphics, banners, merchandise, and more.
  • Develop and manage visual content for the festival's website and social media platforms, as well as upload materials to the website and e-news as needed.
  • Design the program book and create promotional design materials for all Yayasan programs according to the set schedule.
  • Work closely with the production and program teams regarding technical aspects, distribution schedules, and other requirements related to visual design for festival promotion and publication.
  • Coordinating with the Production Team to create schedule or timeline for printed materials and liaise directly with printing vendors.
  • Supervise the production of promotional visual materials during the festival.
  • Manage data related to promotional materials and other relevant needs.
  • Adhere to the established festival policies and procedures.
  • Contribute positively to building an effective team.

ESSENTIAL

  • 3 years of experience as Graphic Designer in event management company, production house, or creative agency.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) or equivalent in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Skills in illustration, branding, and multimedia (e.g., Adobe After Effects) are highly desirable.
  • Strong portfolio of proven work experiences.
  • Attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

FLEXIBILITY

Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati is involved in a wide range of projects and events occurring at various times, and many of our roles may involve the need to work outside of regular office hours. This is taken into consideration when applying for the job.

It is also important that the successful candidate be available during the following weekends:

  • Ubud Food Festival from 30 May to 1 June 2025
  • Ubud Writers & Readers Festival from 29 October to 2 November 2025

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance coverage (BPJS Kesehatan), workplace accident insurance (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), holiday allowance (THR), and income tax allowance. The candidate will also receive 12 days of annual leave and 12 national holidays per year.
