Key Responsibilities:

Presales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical guidance on the best EV charger solutions.
  • Create and present technical presentations, demos, and product specifications to potential clients.
  • Assist in drafting technical proposals, including designing system configurations and recommending appropriate hardware solutions.
  • Answer detailed customer queries regarding product features, specifications, and performance.
  • Conduct product feasibility studies and assessments based on customer requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, site visits, and negotiations to ensure that clients are informed of technical capabilities and constraints.

Product Customization & Design Assistance:

  • Work closely with customers to understand specific requirements and provide hardware design modifications or custom solutions.
  • Develop prototypes or samples to demonstrate tailored solutions for client needs.
  • Provide guidance on the integration of chargers with customer infrastructure, including grid compatibility and installation considerations.

After-Sales Support:

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers post-purchase, ensuring the successful deployment and integration of EV charging stations.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and resolve technical issues with hardware in the field.
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics, field testing, and support installations or upgrades as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the customer service and technical support teams to ensure timely issue resolution and product satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic follow-ups with customers to ensure chargers are functioning correctly and help address any maintenance concerns.
  • Help customers with firmware updates, hardware upgrades, or retrofitting solutions if necessary.

Training & Documentation:

  • Train customers on the installation, use, and maintenance of EV chargers.
  • Create and maintain clear, accessible technical documentation, user manuals, and installation guides for customers.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve documentation and product usability based on customer interactions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback on hardware performance to suggest product enhancements and improvements.
  • Stay updated with emerging EV charging standards, technology trends, and competitor offerings to support both presales and after-sales support.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and engineering teams to address technical challenges and drive product innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in hardware engineering for power electronics, embedded systems, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, providing technical support or presales engineering.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, chargers (AC/DC), and communication protocols (e.g., OCPP, Modbus, CAN).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., IEC, UL, SAE J1772).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues in the field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with electric vehicle charging infrastructure or previous exposure to presales/technical sales roles.
  • Familiarity with the installation process and requirements for EV chargers in commercial or residential settings.
  • Ability to use CAD and 3D tools for basic design changes or system simulations.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or tools for tracking customer interactions and cases.
  • Knowledge of IoT-based EV charger solutions or smart grid integration.
