- Serve as the primary 24/7 medical advisor for complex cases, offering expert guidance to the medical hotline department, and address escalated cases and advise on clinical decisions in Medical Hotline team
- Perform and oversee medical utilization review processes to ensure medically necessary and cost-effective services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate utilization management practices.
- Resolve complex claims disputes and escalations.
- Manage and guide cost containment team members, developing skills and providing leadership as the team grows.
- Create training programs for continuous improvement.
- Expertise in medical terminology, treatment protocols, and clinical decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of utilization review processes, including familiarity with guidelines and decision tools
- Strong understanding of health claims management, including coding, documentation, and compliance.
- Excellent command of the English language for professional communication, both written and spoken.
- Strong ability to present complex medical and utilization review concepts to diverse audiences, including internal teams and stakeholders.
