The Captain Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Director to lead and innovate our marketing efforts across all brands under our umbrella. Positioned at the holding company level, this role is pivotal in harmonizing marketing strategies, driving revenue growth, and enhancing brand presence across diverse markets. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary leader and a hands-on marketing expert, dedicated to fostering brand loyalty and achieving strategic business objectives while effectively managing brand marketing, digital initiatives, community engagement, and overall campaign strategies. The candidate should also possess strong experience in early-stage companies, with the ability to develop new systems and strategies to drive growth. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Job Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the entire marketing department within the Captain Group, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Revenue Growth and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share across the Captain Group.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with overarching business objectives.

Brand Marketing and Awareness:

  • Drive brand marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, reputation, and recognition in target markets.
  • Collaborate on campaigns that effectively communicate brand values and engage consumers to build brand loyalty.

Digital Marketing and Campaign Management:

  • Drive digital marketing strategies, including search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, email campaigns, and content marketing to boost online presence and engagement.
  • Manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns, ensuring effectiveness in reaching target audiences and maximizing Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS).

B2B and Partnership Marketing:

  • Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies to foster partnerships and collaborations that enhance brand reach and business development.
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities, negotiate agreements, and execute joint marketing initiatives to create mutual value.

Community Marketing:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to foster relationships with consumers and create brand advocates.
  • Coordinate events, promotions, and online engagement initiatives to enhance community awareness and interaction with the brand.

Developing Systems and Strategies:

  • Create and implement new marketing systems and processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the marketing department.
  • Innovate and refine marketing strategies suitable for the early-stage nature of the company to facilitate scalability and growth.

Hands-On Engagement:

  • Directly participate in key marketing projects and initiatives, providing hands-on support and expertise in areas such as campaign management, digital marketing, or content creation.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and adapt strategies to maximize effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement within the group.

Market Research and Trends:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform marketing strategies across the Captain Group.
  • Conduct regular audits of brand positioning and messaging across all channels.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and brand development.
  • Extensive experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, and campaign management, with a focus on community engagement strategies.
  • Strong background in early-stage companies, with expertise in developing new systems and strategies to drive growth.
  • Experience in B2B and partnership marketing, with a proven ability to establish and foster collaboration that drives business results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead by example.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategic decisions.
