We Are Looking For

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be reporting to the Senior Operations Manager. You will be responsible for the monitoring and maintaining the operational integrity of the Data Centre cable network. Your role is crucial in ensuring uninterrupted communication and data transmission across international regions through the Data Centre infrastructure.

  • Monitor, resolve and update all Operations-assigned service tickets (trouble tickets and customer request, installations of electrical and physical equipment) throughout the daily shift using PDG’s ticketing system
  • Installation and termination of all copper and fibre cross-connects to include gathering of requirements, designing, labelling, testing and documentation
  • Experience in troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches & firewalls (ASA, Palo Alto)
  • Support the safety and cleanliness of the environment and occupants by being proactive in identifying issues you see need resolution, opening tickets for maintenance and taking the needed steps to get it done
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities system.
  • Work closely with vendors, field technicians, and telecommunications service providers to resolve service issues and improvements
  • Provide escorts for clients, vendors, and contractors to various onsite locations.
  • Ensure physical security of data centre, building, and occupants by maintaining site security protocols, badging requirements and data protection procedures

Qualities You Should Have

  • Diploma / ITE in Network or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in Network Architecture understanding
  • Must have experience to work in a 24*7 support environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Prior experience in managing contractors (technical and soft services) and Technicians
