Key responsibilities
1. Project Planning : Developing detailed plans for the project, including timelines, resource allocation, and task assignments.
2. Team Supervision : Managing and supervising on-site staff, including construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
3. Quality Control : Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards and meets the project's specifications and requirements.
4. Health and Safety : Enforcing safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries.
5. Resource Management : Overseeing the procurement and management of materials, equipment, and resources needed for the project.
6. Budget Management : Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure the project remains within budget.
7. Schedule Management : Keeping the project on schedule by coordinating activities, addressing delays, and making necessary adjustments.
8. Problem Solving : Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the project, including technical and logistical problems.
9. Communication : Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
10. Reporting : Preparing and presenting regular progress reports to BOD
11. Compliance : Ensuring that all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as any specific project guidelines.
12. Documentation : Keeping accurate records of all activities, changes, and important decisions made during the project.
Requirements
1. A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. - In some cases, an associate degree combined with significant experience may be acceptable.
2. - Several years of experience in construction or project management roles.
- Experience working on-site and understanding construction processes.
3. - Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
4. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
