Overview :

The role leads the development and pricing of digital insurance products, aligning with business goals and customer needs. Key tasks include market research, analysing customer behaviour, refining pricing strategies, and collaborating with teams. It also involves presenting data-driven recommendations and ensuring governance, including regulatory compliance and risk management, to optimize performance and profitability.

Position Descriptions :

  • Lead the end-to-end development of Digital insurance products including product proposition, system implementation, and preparation of product document/collateral, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor offerings, and customer demands in the digital insurance space.
  • Develop, implement, and refine pricing strategies for digital insurance products, ensuring they are competitive, profitable, and aligned with company goals.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, competitive pricing, and market trends to adjust pricing models and optimize revenue.
  • Use data analytics and customer feedback to assess the performance of existing products and pricing models.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and IT teams to ensure product development aligns with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Present product and pricing recommendations to the committee with data-driven justifications, while ensuring internal alignment on new launches, pricing changes, and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, while proactively managing risks to protect profitability and compliance.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in actuarial science, statistics or mathematics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, pricing, strategy, or digital platform management in the insurance and takaful industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in pricing and data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, etc.). Knowledge of digital platforms and technology integration is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex data and concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
