Job Responsibilities:
As an A/R Credit Control Executive, you will play a key role in managing credit and collections activities to ensure timely payment from customers while minimizing credit risk. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Credit Analysis:
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness based on financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
- Establish and monitor credit limits and terms for customers.
Collections Management:
- Contact customers regarding overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers to facilitate timely collections.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding balances.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments.
Credit Risk Assessment:
- Monitor credit exposure and identify potential credit risks.
- Recommend credit hold or release decisions based on risk assessment.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging and collection performance.
- Analyze trends and metrics to optimize credit control strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate payment processes.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline credit control processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices to enhance credit management and collections.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or collections.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and collections practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
