Job Responsibilities

POSITION SNAPSHOT:

The Trade Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with both Marketing and distributor’s teams in developing channel plans from strategy conceptualization, execution, and analysis, to deliver support to the distributor with brand equity and depletion targets; leveraging on the consumer marketing plans/programs. S/he will also be tasked to identify key trade & consumer trends and translate these to business opportunities which will drive brand building for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Holistic Trade Marketing Plans:
  • Understand Brands, Commercial & Trade objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of Commercial, Channel, Customer & Outlet.
  • Adapt Brand Implementation plans with Trade Implementation by Channel, Customer, and Outlet.
  • Channel Strategy and Operational Plans:
  • Long-term planning for channel sales drivers and portfolio activation.
  • Short-term activity, event planning, and POS deployment.
  • Lead cycle meetings with Distributor and Marketing teams.
  • Agile mindset for evolving plans based on market dynamics.

PROGRAM EXECUTION

  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Budget allocation for brands by activity & customers with financial diligence.
  • Measure and report against activity KPIs with feedback for optimization.
  • Monthly & quarterly budget tracking.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams for business reviews with trade partners.
  • Collaboration between Consumer Marketing and Commercial Teams:
  • Effective working relationship with distributor teams for aligned execution.
  • Align Brand aspirations with distributor’s capabilities.
  • Clear communication with partners, agencies, suppliers, promoters, and customers.
  • Implementation, Procurement, and Maintenance:
  • Use reliable, cost-effective suppliers meeting execution standards.
  • Manage Brand POS material & assets for detailed execution.
  • Ensure events deliver agreed consumer experiences aligned with Brand standards.
  • Prepare post-project analyses of key programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in the alcohol beverage industry.
  • Background in trade/customer/channel marketing.
  • Strong data-analysis, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Brand-building mindset with an understanding of channel realities.
  • Persistent, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in a challenging work environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours regularly.
