The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety by monitoring and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies. This role involves conducting safety inspections, training employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  2. Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and practices.
  3. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance gaps.
  4. Perform risk assessments and implement preventive measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  5. Identify potential safety and health risks in the workplace and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Record, report, and conduct a thorough investigations of all workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  7. Conduct safety training and induction programs for new employees and contractors.
  8. Organize regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote safety culture.
  9. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  10. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, incident reports, and training activities.
  11. Ensure proper documentation of safety procedures, guidelines, and compliance reports.

Qualifications

  1. Diploma 3 or bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience as an HSE officer.
  3. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Have strategic thinking & high analytical skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management systems.
  8. Good command of English, both oral and written.
  9. Computer literacy (MS Office and Internet).
  10. Willing to work in East Java (Banyuwangi/Siduarjo).
