About the Role - As the Industrial Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, automation systems, and industrial engineering strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency in large-scale EV battery production. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing projects, and ensuring that our factories operate at peak performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive process standardization, automation implementation, and data-driven decision-making to create a world-class manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering & Process Optimization:

  • Develop and implement industrial engineering strategies to optimize manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead process standardization across production lines to improve cycle times, material flow, and resource utilization.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process automation techniques.
  • Design and optimize plant layouts, workflow automation, and material handling systems for maximum efficiency.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing:

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to improve yield, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
  • Implement 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics to identify trends and drive corrective actions.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Manage large-scale process improvement and automation projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process integration.
  • Work closely with suppliers and technology partners to evaluate new automation solutions, equipment upgrades, and innovative manufacturing techniques.

Compliance & Sustainability:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, etc.).
  • Drive sustainability initiatives by improving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource optimization in production processes.

Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in large-scale industrial engineering, automation, and process optimization in high-tech manufacturing environments (preferably EV battery, automotive, or electronics).
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process automation, and smart factory technologies, experience with automation systems, robotics.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, simulation software, MES systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale manufacturing projects.
