We are looking for an "Electrician for repair and installation of cable lines."

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare a route, canal, tunnel, collector for laying the cable.
  • Perform earthworks.
  • Prepare, serve and clean up cable, tools, materials, devices.
  • Lay cable lines in trenches with voltages up to 10 kV, install cable structures, dismantle power cables and cable fittings in trenches, collectors, pipes and blocks using metalworking tools and devices.
  • Terminate and connect power cables with copper and aluminum conductors, perform crimping and soldering.
  • Repair the armored cover, lead sheath, insulation and current-carrying conductors of the cable.
  • Dismantle end and connecting couplings, heat refractory solders on installations operating on liquefied gas.
  • Check the cable insulation for moisture before installation, and arrange lighting for the workplace.
  • Know and comply with the requirements of regulatory acts on labor protection, safety techniques, labor protection instructions, industrial sanitation, technical operation, fire prevention regime and established fire safety requirements.

Education

Complete or basic general secondary education. Vocational and technical. Advanced training and work experience as an electrician in the repair and installation of cable lines will be an advantage.

Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Elementary knowledge about brands of cables and cable fittings, their areas of application, metalworking, measuring and special tools for cable work, the purpose of installation devices and structures.
  • General knowledge of cable and sealing compounds, solders and fluxes, materials used for repairing cable lines.
  • Rules for loading and transporting cable and cable drums.
  • The most common defects in laying and installing cable lines and fittings.
  • General technology for connecting and terminating copper and aluminum conductors, technology for heating the cable in winter.
  • Cable laying rules, diagrams of cable network sections.
  • Purpose and design of connecting locking and end couplings.
