Role Description

As a Lighting Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing lighting concepts that align with our vision of smart, connected homes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to create lighting designs that are not only visually stunning but also enhance the user experience in our smart home ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative lighting design solutions for various smart home applications, ensuring they meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate lighting solutions into BIOTA's smart home products.
  • Conduct research on lighting technology trends, energy-efficient solutions, and new materials that can enhance design.
  • Create lighting design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and simulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the implementation of lighting designs in smart home installations.
  • Present lighting design concepts to stakeholders and justify design choices based on user experience and technology integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in lighting design, preferably in smart home or architectural projects.
  • Proficient in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD) and a strong understanding of lighting technologies and their applications.
  • Excellent creativity and design skills, with an eye for aesthetics and functionality.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to adapt designs based on project constraints and user needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.
