We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Drilling Completion Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in onshore drilling projects, with a strong focus on Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or Pressure Managed Completion Drilling (PMCD) operations. This role requires a deep understanding of drilling and completion designs and operations, particularly for pre-salt, fractured, or carbonate reservoirs. Experience with CO2 injector wells is preferred but not essential.
Job Description:
- Design and Planning: Develop and implement drilling and completion programs for onshore projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
- Operations Management: Oversee drilling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to drilling teams, particularly in MPD and PMCD operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, reservoir engineers, and project managers, to optimize drilling strategies and enhance reservoir performance.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safe and successful drilling operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze drilling performance data and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Compliance: Ensure regulatory and corporate policy conformance in all well operations.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior engineers and field personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in drilling and completion engineering, with a focus on onshore projects.
- Proficient in understanding and utilizing the Landmark OpenWells reporting system.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the Landmark well engineering software suite, including Wellplan, WellCat, Stress Check, and others.
- Certifications: Valid IWCF or Professional Well Control certificate is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and experience in drilling and completion designs and operations for pre-salt, fractured, or carbonate reservoirs.
- MPD/PMCD Experience: Proven experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or Pressure Managed Completion Drilling (PMCD) operations.
- A solid understanding and hands-on experience with drilling operations for HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) wells are essential.
- Previous experience with probabilistic time and cost software, such as P1.
- CO2 Injector Wells: Experience with CO2 injector wells is preferred but not essential.
- English C1 (Advance) Level.
