We are looking for a high-performing self -driven, motivated Merchant Partnership Manager who will contribute to new merchant partner acquisition. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with merchants, brands, and service providers to expand our loyalty ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to identify and onboard new merchants, negotiate partnership agreements, and drive the growth of the loyalty program. You will be an individual contributor and will report into the Category Head.
Responsibilities:
- Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Identify and approach potential merchants to join the loyalty program.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements that meet the company's business goals and objectives.
- Onboard new merchants by ensuring smooth integration into the loyalty platform and aligning them with the program's requirements.
- Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for existing merchant partners.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with key merchant stakeholders to ensure program success.
- Provide continuous support and guidance to merchant partners, helping them maximize the benefits of the loyalty program.
- Program Strategy & Growth:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop merchant-specific promotions, campaigns, and incentives that drive engagement.
- Monitor and report on merchant performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for program enhancements.
- Work with the product and marketing teams to align merchant offerings with customer needs and trends.
- Partnerships & Negotiations:
- Lead discussions and negotiations with potential and existing merchant partners to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Structure deals and initiatives that benefit both the merchant and the loyalty program.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and partnerships are executed in line with business objectives.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor programs, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in the loyalty market.
- Provide feedback to the product team based on market insights to help shape future loyalty offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or sales, preferably within a loyalty, fintech, retail, or e-commerce environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and improve merchant performance.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of loyalty programs, digital marketing, or customer engagement strategies is a plus.
