We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Commercial Manager to join a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, contract negotiation, and cost control within large infrastructure and construction projects, preferably in the data center or technology sector

About the Senior Commercial Manager opportunity:

  • Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the data center project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals. Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the project from initiation through completion
  • Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and mitigate risks
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Implement cost-control measures to ensure that the project remains within budget and schedule. Identify and address potential financial risks
  • Act as the key commercial liaison between project teams, clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. Provide regular reports on project performance, financial health, and commercial risks to senior management
  • Lead procurement activities, including the sourcing of contractors, suppliers, and services. Ensure effective vendor management, monitor contract performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance, legal regulations, and industry standards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in commercial activities.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in contract negotiation, procurement, and risk management in complex, large-scale projects

Skills and experience needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial management, with at least 5 years of experience managing large infrastructure or data center projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for data center construction
  • Experience in the data center, technology, or IT infrastructure industry.
  • Experience with international projects or cross-border operations.
