Our direct client, who is one of the largest management consulting firms is looking to hire Trade Finance Specialist who also thinks like a Product Manager—someone who understands the ins and outs of documentary trade, letters of credit, and guarantees (and can explain them without putting people to sleep).

Your Mission (If You Accept It):

  • Analyze the bank’s Trade Finance requirements—both from a digital and operational perspective.
  • Evaluate Bank Trade’s capabilities against those needs and determine if it’s the right fit.
  • Assess how Bank Trade integrates into the bank’s existing systems without causing chaos.
  • Contribute to a compelling business case to justify investment in Bank Trade.

An ideal candidate must be:

  • A Trade Finance Veteran – Experience in Trade & Working Capital, Trade Services, or Transaction Banking (this is NOT a stock trading role).
  • A Product-Savvy Professional – You’ve worked as a Product Manager or Junior PM in Trade Finance for at least 3 years.
  • A Documentary Trade Pro – You can navigate letters of credit, guarantees, and compliance requirements with ease.
  • Tech-Friendly – You understand Trade Finance systems and can assess Bank Trade’s functionality and limitations.
  • A Strong Communicator – Fluency in English is a must, and Bahasa Indonesia is a plus (bonus if you can decode complex banking terms into simple explanations).

Extra Points If:

  • You’re a retired pro who still enjoys tackling industry challenges and wants a part-time opportunity.
  • You’ve worked in trade finance product teams, operations, or sales, and know how these solutions are implemented in banks.
  • You’re familiar with the Indonesian banking landscape (not mandatory, but a nice-to-have).
