Key Responsibilities:
Coordination & Communication:
- Interface between the engineering company, shipyard, installation contractors, vendors, charterers, and classification societies.
- Communicate and coordinate daily tasks with the team and consult with team members or directors to determine the best course of action for any arising issues.
Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed outlines, plans, and scopes of work for maintenance tasks, repair works, and safety procedures, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Prepare the dry-dock scope of work and oversee proper execution of dry-docking activities.
- Analyze and evaluate upcoming shipyard quotations.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that the design, engineering, and execution of work are carried out safely and meet high-quality standards.
- Implement strict safety procedures in all aspects of the project to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
- Monitor shipyard and docking performance, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
Training & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide training or induction to crew members on newly installed equipment or any modifications made during maintenance.
- Collect feedback and suggestions for future improvements or immediate fixes.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain responsibility for all documentation and records throughout the vessel dry-dock process.
- Generate daily progress reports and final reports on maintenance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as Docking Staff or Owner Surveyor.
- Should be familiar with the dry docking process.
- Must have at least basic English proficiency.
- Proficient in using Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, Ansys, and Maxsurf.
- Demonstrates high integrity, strong teamwork, and a "Can-Do" attitude.
- Must be willing to travel frequently.
