Indonesia Country Manager (Retail Growth Leader)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Indonesia Country Manager (Retail Growth Leader) to lead our in-country Marketing team and play a pivotal role in developing and expanding our retail business within Indonesia. This role is akin to a Marketing Director and will be responsible for driving the growth of our retail user base, planning impactful events, managing public relations (PR), and overseeing all marketing-related functions in Indonesia. The successful candidate will need to possess an in-depth understanding of the Indonesian market, have strong leadership skills, and a deep background in marketing, particularly in the crypto space. Familiarity with the local retail landscape, consumer behavior, and trends is critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Retail Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy to grow and retain users in Indonesia, ensuring a sustainable and expanding customer base.
- Team Management and Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing local team to success. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Marketing & Branding: Oversee and execute marketing campaigns, leveraging both online and offline channels, to drive brand awareness and user acquisition. Lead the creation of tailored marketing content for the Indonesian market.
- Event Planning: Plan, execute, and manage events to engage with the local community, raise brand visibility, and drive user engagement. This includes both physical events and digital engagement initiatives.
- PR & Communications: Oversee all public relations activities, ensuring OSL’s messaging aligns with the local market and resonates with Indonesian consumers. Build relationships with media outlets, influencers, and partners.
- Market Insight & Adaptation: Stay up-to-date with the local Indonesian market scene, trends, and competitors. Leverage insights to ensure OSL's marketing approach is relevant and resonates with the Indonesian audience.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as product, operations, and global marketing to align strategies and ensure smooth operations.
- Operations Management: Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, resolving any issues that arise within marketing or retail functions. Oversee all logistics related to events, promotions, and other marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Spoken and written fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English / Chinese are essential to effectively communicate with the local market as well as internal stakeholders.
- Proven experience in marketing with a strong focus on driving growth, customer acquisition, and brand building in the retail sector.
- Extensive background in the crypto industry, ideally with hands-on experience in retail or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of the local Indonesian market and retail landscape, including consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in event planning and managing public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
- A track record of successfully growing and managing retail users or customers in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
