WMI Renewables Pte Ltd www.windmagics.hk established a new office in Jakarta to develop renewable energy projects in Indonesia market.

Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy Engineer will primarily focus on conducting preliminary assessments for potential wind and solar power plant sites. This includes evaluating site conditions, gathering and analyzing resource data, and providing technical input for early-stage project feasibility. The role also involves collaborating with the international technical team at HQ to assess the project and ensure compliance with global technical standards and regulatory requirements. The engineer will be responsible for conducting energy yield analysis and evaluating the power generation and energy output potential of wind and solar farms.

Key Responsibilities:

· Site Assessments: Conduct preliminary evaluations of potential sites for wind and solar power plants by analyzing wind speed, solar irradiance, and land suitability to determine project feasibility.

· Energy Yield & Power Generation Analysis: Perform energy yield assessments to estimate the power generation potential of wind and solar projects, using site-specific data to evaluate project viability.

· Preliminary Design & Layouts: Assist in developing initial plant designs and layouts, incorporating site data, energy generation estimates, and technical requirements to optimize performance.

· Regulatory & Compliance Support: Ensure that projects comply with local and international technical standards, and support the preparation of technical documentation for permits and regulatory submissions.

· Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site assessments, energy yield calculations, and design data. Prepare and present regular updates to internal teams and stakeholders on project progress.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field).

· 1-3 years of experience in renewable energy, with a focus on wind or solar projects.

· Strong knowledge of energy yield analysis, power generation, and energy output evaluation for wind and solar farms.

· Fluent in English & Indonesian (both written and spoken); Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

· Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, WindPro, PVsyst, or GIS software is a plus.
