Some of your duties will include:
- Responsible for directing, coordinating, and supervising the work of a contracted security group including the management of all security administrative affairs at the respective sites allocated and will be responsible for the investigation of alleged or suspected offences and threats to company property, operations, and personnel.
- Direct the activities of contracted security staff in order to protect company property and personnel.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the progress of security activities.
- Conduct investigations on incidents that occur on the property, in conjunction with law enforcement officials when necessary and keep supervisors apprised of findings.
- Supervise security officers in controlling vehicles entering and exiting the property, patrolling areas, controlling traffic on company roads, investigations, searches, monitoring security systems and responding to alarms.
- Provide advice and guidance on security matters to company personnel and residents.
- Review security related documents to provide advice on and interpretation of matters contained therein.
- Carry out investigations by inspecting locations of alleged or suspected illegal activity.
- Conduct surveillance and searches on suspected persons or activities in order to gather information and evidence.
- Interview, research and interrogate suspects and witnesses in investigations in order to verify facts, and gather as much information as possible.
- Prepare suspect and witness statements.
- Prepare reports on completed and on-going investigations.
- Prepare loss prevention and security reports for management and make recommendations for further actions or processes.
- Participate in legal proceedings by serving legal documents, preparing evidence and presenting testimony in courts of law.
- Collect, preserve and document all evidence and specimens relating to an investigation to be used in legal or other proceedings.
- Conduct security presentations for Company personnel, Government representatives and contracted security agency employees.
- Acts as coordination point in emergency situations by staying apprised of emergency response systems, monitoring emergency activities and responding as outlined in company procedure, keeping supervisors apprised of situation with regular updates.
- Instructs security officers as to the appropriate response to incidents or unusual events.
- Store, issue and account for company equipment issued to security personnel and supporting Law Enforcement Agencies and submit a monthly report to the Senior Supervisor Security
- Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with Indonesian Laws and Regulations regarding security matters as well as company policy.
- Responsible for neatness and maintenance of Security office, Guard posts and the immediate area surrounding these buildings in the respective area of responsibility.
- Responsible to report all defects, damage, excessive overgrowth or any other issues that might influence effective security operations.
- Manage the Guard tour system in respective area and submit batons to the designated monitoring station every day for downloading of information.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Tertiary degree in Risk/Security Management or equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 7 years’s experience in security management in a large working area, and able to lead security personnel in the field.
- Have minimum 3 years’ experiences in similar role as Chief Security/ Supervisor Security/ Representative Security Operations;
- Have experience in handling private jetty; Have skills surrounding security technologies; Sound knowledge of Criminal Procedure Act, Law of Evidence and Security Law; Sound knowledge of Investigation and detection procedures; have basic survival knowledge; able to carry out field inspections; Have high skill and flexibility in communicating, especially with security agencies;
- Have minimum Gada Madya certification,
- Have Frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
- Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
