Key Responsibilities:

  • Crew Recruitment and Selection:

Source and identify qualified seafarers through various channels, including job boards, maritime academies, and recruitment agencies.

Screen and assess candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and medical fitness.

Conduct interviews and reference checks to evaluate suitability for specific vessel roles.

Prepare and negotiate employment contracts.

Address crew grievances and concerns promptly.

Coordinate with medical providers to provide healthcare services to seafarers.

Manage crew accommodation and recreational facilities on board vessels.

  • Administrative Tasks:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew records and documentation.

Prepare reports on crew performance, costs, and other relevant metrics.

Liaise with maritime authorities, classification societies, and other relevant organizations.

Manage the crewing budget and control costs.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in maritime studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations, labor laws, and international conventions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems).
