One of the largest and most prominent life insurance companies in the world is looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their Indonesian business. Reporting into their CEO, you will be a key member of the executive team and have overall responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of the organization.

About The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Position

You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, while also providing strategic insights to drive the company’s growth and profitability:

  • Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
  • Leverage actuarial expertise to assess risks, set appropriate reserves, and enhance pricing strategies for life insurance products
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning and operational decisions
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards applicable to the life insurance industry, including solvency and capital requirements
  • Collaborate with the risk management team to identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust controls and monitoring frameworks
  • Oversee investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk appetite and return objectives

This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of the life insurance industry and an actuarial background to ensure sound financial management and risk assessment.

Skills And Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent actuarial designation; CPA or CFA is a plus
  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in finance within the life insurance sector, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, actuarial valuation, investment management, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to decision-making
