Job Summary:

The Content Moderator will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and moderating user-generated content to ensure it aligns with our community guidelines and policies. This role involves working closely with other team members to maintain a healthy online atmosphere by identifying and removing harmful or inappropriate material.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Moderation: Review, flag, and moderate user-submitted content, including text, images, audio, and videos, for adherence to company standards.
  • Policy Enforcement: Apply company guidelines to ensure consistency in content decisions and report any issues or recurring trends.
  • Data Reporting: Keep detailed records of content moderation activities and escalate serious or repeated violations to management.
  • User Interaction: Occasionally respond to user inquiries regarding moderation decisions and provide clarification on community standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the moderation team to suggest improvements in content guidelines and moderation processes.
  • Trend Analysis: Identify emerging trends in content and potential risks to community safety, recommending updates to moderation policies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in content moderation, customer support, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of social media, online communities, or content policies.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or potentially offensive content with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with moderation tools or content management systems.
  • Familiarity with community guidelines, legal standards, or online community management.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
