About the Role

Medicolegal Specialist responsible for defended, complex and contentious litigation in medicolegal cases, managing these through the litigation process in accordance with the policy & procedures in place.

Reporting to Legal Disputes, the incumbent is accountable for analyze medicolegal case in order to safeguard company’s reputation and ensure its interests are well represented.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversees litigation policies and procedures related to medicolegal cases
  • Supervise documents, decisions, and hospital operation
  • Quality and safety improvement program
  • Ensure that operational activities and services in each hospital are in accordance with the standards and conditions set by the hospital or applicable laws/regulations
  • Understand every medicolegal case faced by a hospital, both civil and criminal, in order to contribute to strategy in litigation management
  • Upon receipt of court documentation, carry out the required action in accordance with court instructions and timescales
  • Investigate and gather evidence related to medicolegal cases
  • Initiate and pursue legal proceedings as required by the Company i.e., prepare writs, defenses, submissions and other pleadings in civil cases both “for and against” the Company
  • Update information about lawyers and his/her expertise to serve as a basis in giving recommendations about lawyers who will be appointed to handle the case
  • Liaise with appointed lawyers to discuss about strategies for dealing with medicolegal cases
  • Manage and monitor medicolegal cases through the enforcement process ensuring that all activities are completed in the required timelines and conform to court rules
  • Initiates and involves to avoid the litigation process by conducting a mediation
  • Provide sound legal advice to the company and make recommendations to management as necessary and report any updates on important ongoing cases to the Dispute Resolution Division Head and CLO

Qualifications

  • Min. Bachelor Degree from Legal major
  • Experience 7-10 years in related field
  • Have PERADI license
  • Willing to do business trip depending on the needs
  • Willing to work full from office in Siloam Head Office, Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang
