ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG School Jakarta is a private, independent, co-educational Kindergarten to Year 13 day school located in South Jakarta, Indonesia. The school is a member of Inspired Education Group who own and operate 84 schools globally and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). The School is governed by the foundation (Yayasan) and is a registered school with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. ACG School Jakarta was founded in 2004 and has grown steadily from a small primary school to a comprehensive Kindergarten to Year 13 international school. ACG School Jakarta is unique in that it is permitted to enrol students who hold passports from Indonesia and other parts of the world. The school’s central location serves families who are employed by embassies, multinational corporations and other businesses. We have a non-selective admission policy and serve the needs of the expatriate and local community in Jakarta. We have approximately 29 nationalities represented and the language of instruction is English.

ACG Jakarta's modern facilities provide a safe environment for learning and growth to the over 350 students studying IB and Cambridge courses at the school. Situated on beautiful grounds, the campus includes 30 classrooms, two science laboratories, library, music and art rooms, and incorporates a Musholla (Prayer Room) to support the diversity and values that underpin the school. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Economic and Social Studies Teacher is responsible for creating a learning that is effective for orderly teaching and providing learning experiences that maximize academic progress. They encourage appropriate study and independant learning skills and motivate each student to achieve their potential in their subject. Teachers at ACG Jakarta are also expected to take an active role in school life including, department meetings, school activities, open days and functions as required. The successful applicant will be fully registered and committed to working collaboratively within the overall ACG Education philosophy of teaching excellence. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience in the education sector
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (required)
  • Experience of IBDP (desirable)
  • A high level of analytical skills, systems/data analysis and a strong attention to detail
  • Strong ethical and moral values
  • The successful applicant will be fully registered and committed to working collaboratively within the overall ACG Education philosophy of teaching excellence.
