Who and What is Oma Elly?
Founded in October 2018, Oma Elly began as a home-based business in Chef Andry's apartment, where he crafted his signature beef lasagna using a cherished family recipe passed down from his grandmother, Named in honour of Chef Andry's grandmother, Oma Elly specializes in authentic Italian and Western gourmet food, offered through an online food delivery service. Our menus reflect the rich culinary heritage Chef Andry experienced growing up, characterized by Oma's exceptional taste palette. The establishment was founded with the mission of sharing Oma's culinary legacy with the world, keeping her memory alive through authentic Italian cuisine.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Greeter Leader at Oma Elly Trattoria in West Jakarta (Puri Indah Mall). The Greeter Leader will be responsible for welcoming and assisting customers, managing customer service operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in a customer-facing role, ideally within the restaurant/hospitality industry.
- Prior experience as a greeter, host/hostess, or similar role is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Polished verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially if dealing with international customers
- Ability to manage guest reservations and seatings, ensuring efficient table turnover and reduced wait times
- Familiarity with reservation management systems is a plus
- Strong phone etiquette, customer experience skills and problem-solving abilities
- Maintains a well-groomed and professional appearance to represent Oma Elly's brand
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant hours
