- Research potential vendors, compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Arrange outstanding PO reports and ensure POs that have been opened are sent on time and free from defects
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Capable doing forecast product purchase analyst
- Prepare a purchasing plan of packaging materials to ensure the numbers of PO opened according to production plan and forecast
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends
Requirements And Skills
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing min 3 years (preferably ex well-known retail)
- Minimum education of Bachelor degree
- Skills required: Fluent in spoken English is required; Mandarin is a plus.
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses and problem solving skills
- Have a strong leadership and the ability to create a supportive working environment for the team
