The Role

Overview: The Canva Creative Specialist is a vital role within Design Pickle’s Center of Excellence (CoE). This position is responsible for providing professional guidance in the use of Canva, focusing on best practices, innovation, and enhancing the quality of design projects. The role involves collaborating with a global team of designers, managing and maintaining quality standards, assisting with project scoping, and upholding the creative production value of each project. This position is also client-facing at times due to our partnership with Canva, requiring effective communication and collaboration with clients.

Work hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST/EST (You can use this link to make the time conversion on your end!)

Scope of Work

Serve as the foremost expert in Canva within the Design Pickle CoE.
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices related to Canva.
Own existing Canva scope of services across all areas of service where Canva is applicable: Graphic Design, Presentation Design, Motion Graphics, Video Editing.
Drive expansion of Canva scope and related services across all areas of service where Canva is applicable: Graphic Design, Web Design, Presentation Design, Motion Graphics, Video Editing.
Push the boundaries for what Design Pickle and our customers consider possible in Canva.
Provide thought leadership through documentation, presentations, and workshops.
Develop best practice guidelines and standards for using Canva.
Create service guides and supporting documentation for various teams.
Collaborate effectively with other Creative Excellence Specialists and CoE members to share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
Offer guidance and support to teams across Design Pickle in utilizing Canva effectively.
Develop educational content to enhance team skills in Canva.
Identify and address challenges and issues specific to Canva design projects.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
Mentor team members in the effective use of Canva for various design projects.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Proven expertise and a track record of success in using Canva for professional design projects.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functional setting.
Bonus pickles if you have experience with the Affinity suite of tools.
