The Automation Presales is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing in-depth technical expertise on warehouse automation solutions. This role involves understanding customer needs, designing automation solutions, and ensuring they align with customer requirements and organizational capabilities. This position will work closely with sales, engineering, and project teams to develop proposals, create demonstrations, and conduct presentations that effectively showcase the value of warehouse automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose suitable warehouse automation solutions.
- Design and recommend optimized automation workflows, layouts, and technology applications tailored to each client’s warehouse needs.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demos, and workshops for clients and prospects.
- Assist in creating proposals, cost estimates, and ROI analyses to support client decision-making.
- Act as a technical consultant, answering client questions and providing expertise on system integration, warehouse management systems (WMS), robotics, RFID, and other automation technologies.
- Work with internal engineering and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with company standards and client expectations.
- Stay updated with advancements in warehouse automation technologies, market trends, and competitive products to advise clients effectively.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse automation, presales, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse automation technologies, including robotics, RFID, and other advanced solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in drafting and explaining technical documentation and proposals.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with a strong capability for assessing client needs and translating them into effective automation solutions.
- Team-oriented, with an ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
