As a Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating written or spoken content from one language to another, ensuring that the original meaning, tone, and context are preserved. You will work on various types of content, including documents, reports, presentations, websites, marketing materials, and more. In addition, you will collaborate with different teams to ensure consistency and clarity in the translated materials.
Responsibilities:
- Translate written content from the source language to the target language while maintaining the original meaning and style
- Simultaneous translator for ongoing discussion in a focus group or in-depth interview setting.
- Review and proofread translations for accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with other team members, including writers, editors, and project managers, to ensure the highest quality of translations.
- Ensure that translations adhere to cultural and contextual appropriateness for the target audience.
- Maintain a database of terminology and ensure consistent use across projects.
- Work under deadlines to ensure timely delivery of translated materials.
- Stay updated with industry-specific terminologies and linguistic developments.
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously
- Ability to translate to and from Bahasa Indonesia in these languages: English, Chinese, and Japanese
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or a related field.
- Certifications in translation or interpretation are a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional translation experience, preferably in the industry.
- Experience with different types of translation (legal, technical, marketing, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficiency in both the source and target languages (fluency in reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience in multiple languages is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Willing to travel out of town for projects bases
