Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in executing Marriott International’s digital strategies across various properties. This role bridges the efforts between marketing, eCommerce, and global distribution to drive awareness, customer engagement, and profitability through online platforms. The Manager oversees the activation of property-level strategies across digital channels, including Marriott.com, OTAs, meta search engines, and other e-marketing platforms, ensuring optimal online visibility and performance. They also collaborate closely with property leaders to drive market share, revenue growth, and seamless guest experiences through digital efforts.

This position requires regular interaction with properties to ensure consistent optimization of digital presence and content on Marriott’s direct online channels. Acting as a digital marketing expert, the Manager provides insights, reports, and recommendations to enhance the properties’ online performance. Additionally, this role delivers training, communication, and ongoing support to local teams to empower their digital strategies.

Education And Experience

Required:

  • 2-year degree in eCommerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, with 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or eCommerce roles, preferably within the hospitality industry or agency setting.

OR

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, with 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or eCommerce roles, preferably within the hospitality industry or agency setting.

Core Responsibilities

Digital Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement property-specific eCommerce strategies and tactics to drive online traffic and bookings.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing, sales, and revenue teams to align goals and maximize digital performance.
  • Set and monitor eCommerce objectives, budgets, and KPIs for properties.
  • Optimize property websites on Marriott.com and other digital platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.

Online Marketing and Acquisition

  • Oversee execution of SEO, paid search, and online marketing campaigns through Marriott Digital Services or external agencies.
  • Manage the PLUS platform and execute marketing activities, such as email campaigns and affiliate marketing.
  • Optimize OTA and meta search channels to increase bookings and improve the guest journey.

Content and Website Optimization

  • Conduct regular audits of property websites to ensure accurate content, quality imagery, and correct translations.
  • Guide properties in developing web content for key segments such as F&B, weddings, and meetings.
  • Ensure hotel-specific digital needs, including local channel activation, are identified and addressed.

OTA and Meta Search Management

  • Monitor and optimize property performance across OTAs and meta search platforms.
  • Collaborate with OTA partners and marketing teams to secure promotions and merchandising placements.
  • Ensure accurate property information, images, and star ratings are maintained on all platforms.

Property Support

  • Develop and execute digital strategies in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Activate new properties on Marriott.com, OTAs, and other digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with brand marketing teams to position new properties effectively across online channels.

Training and Communication

  • Provide training and guidance to property teams on digital strategy implementation and best practices.
  • Host webinars, presentations, and workshops to educate hotel leaders on eCommerce strategies.
  • Deliver regular reports, newsletters, and performance updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and share insights with regional and property teams
