Director of Apparel and Merchandising

Join a leading multinational company in the apparel industry, committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Apparel Sourcing and Merchandising to lead their operations in Bandung

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apparel, with demonstrated expertise in sourcing, merchandising, and production. They would be responsible for driving the company's apparel strategy, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring that product offerings meet market demands and company standards etc.

About The Director Apparel Sourcing & Merchandising Role

• Develop and implement sourcing and merchandising strategies that align with company goals and market trends
• Oversee the sourcing of materials and production partners, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
• Direct product development processes, including market research, trend analysis, and product assortment planning
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of sourcing and merchandising professionals to achieve departmental objectives
• Work closely with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product offerings that resonate with target customers
• Establish KPIs and analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement in sourcing and merchandising operations.
  
  

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10-years of experience in the apparel industry, with at least 5 years in a director-level role focusing on sourcing and merchandising

Skills And Experience Needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus
• Proven track record of managing large-scale sourcing and merchandising operations in a multinational environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, production processes, and market dynamics in the apparel sector
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
